We have six practice locations throughout the Atlanta metro area, including a cutting-edge surgical facility in Chamblee. We are one of the few Georgia practices to offer both a stand-up MRI and an open MRI.

About Us
Our History
In 2016, Barbour Orthopaedics opened its first full-time location in Sandy Springs, GA. Alongside this milestone, a part-time location was established in Cumming, GA, allowing the center to extend its presence to multiple communities. Demonstrating their commitment to advanced diagnostic capabilities, the center purchased its first MRI machine, which was installed at the Sandy Springs facility. By the end of the year, Barbour Orthopaedics had a dedicated team of 19 employees.
The year 2017 witnessed further growth as Barbour Orthopaedics opened the Forest Park location as a part-time facility and inaugurated the Gwinnett location. To enhance their diagnostic capabilities, the center acquired a second MRI machine, scheduled for installation at the Chamblee location. With an increased focus on patient care, Barbour Orthopaedics concluded the year with 38 employees.
Continuing its expansion, Barbour Orthopaedics opened the Chamblee, GA location in 2018. This move coincided with a remarkable achievement, as the center reached a new record of serving 300 new patients per month. The addition of Dr. Doug Linville in the spring further enhanced the center’s medical expertise. By the end of the year, Barbour Orthopaedics employed a dedicated team of 56 professionals.
In 2019, Barbour Orthopaedics demonstrated its commitment to operational efficiency and excellence by creating a management company for its facilities. The year also marked the official opening of the Barbour Orthopaedics Surgery Center, a testament to the center’s dedication to providing comprehensive care. With 700 new patients per month, the center solidified its reputation as a trusted destination for orthopedic care. To bolster their diagnostic capabilities, Barbour Orthopaedics acquired a third MRI machine, set to be installed at the Forest Park location. The center closed the year with 95 employees, further strengthening their skilled workforce.
Despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Barbour Orthopaedics stood steadfast in its commitment to its employees. Not a single job was lost during this difficult period, a testament to the center’s dedication to its staff. The Forest Park location transitioned to full-time operation, accommodating a growing patient population. Barbour Orthopaedics continued to flourish, setting a new record of serving 800 new patients per month. Moreover, the center became the title sponsor and team physician for Atlanta’s prestigious rugby team, RugbyATL, and forged partnerships with MMA/UFC fighters. Dr. Nicole Forsythe joined the team in the fall, further elevating the center’s medical expertise. At the close of the year, Barbour Orthopaedics employed 143 skilled professionals.
The year 2021 marked a period of significant milestones for Barbour Orthopaedics. The Cumming office commenced full-time operations, expanding the center’s geographical coverage. Setting another record, Barbour Orthopaedics served 900 new patients per month, showcasing its growing prominence in the orthopedic field. Barbour University was established to mentor the next generation of medical professionals, complemented by a state-of-the-art Training Room. Dr. Sanjay Mehta and Dr. Vincent Talosig joined the esteemed medical team. Moreover, the center installed its first CT Scanner at the surgery center and opened VIP Private recovery suites. Barbour Orthopaedics celebrated its first total joint surgery and reached the milestone of employing its 250th team member.
In 2022, Barbour Orthopaedics continued its trajectory of success and innovation. The center performed its first meniscal transplant surgery, providing advanced solutions for patients’ orthopedic needs. Barbour Orthopaedics shattered previous records, serving an impressive 1,000 new patients per month. Furthering its commitment to cutting-edge technology, the center installed a medical-grade Hyperbaric chamber, adding to its extensive range of treatment options. The Kennesaw, GA location opened, expanding access to quality orthopedic care. Additionally, Barbour Orthopaedics participated in the Docs Against Hunger charity event, demonstrating its commitment to giving back to the community.
Building on its reputation for excellence, Barbour Orthopaedics reached new heights in 2023. The center expanded its reach beyond Georgia by opening its first out-of-state location in Greenville, SC. This marked a significant milestone for Barbour Orthopaedics as it continued to serve a growing number of patients with its exceptional orthopedic care.
